For instance, click rates show that my sub is overwhelmingly popular with the general Phuks crowd – yet no one actually subscribes! =/

I understand. Obviously, this is due to cancel-culture peer pressure taking its toll. That, and of course also because our fans
especially those who come for their daily hateb0ner… ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
don’t have to subscribe, as via /all/new, they get all the good stuff without any commitment anyway!

I believe it is really a matter of fairness that the subs one enjoys in one’s feed, one also gets to be subscribed to. This could even be an automated process.

Then add a sitewide random sticky to the top of /all/new – to keep things nice’n’agitated.

Not that most people use it (because of low volume of posts) but the "block sub" button works if you want to tailor your feed. Not a bad feature idea but probably not needed until post volume picks up.

The "block sub" button is part of the problem.

It allows to create a custom feed not based on the subs that you subscribe to (i.e., the way things are supposed to be)... but on what subs you block.

If this was fully intentional, then with the only aim to foster & protect a discriminatory cancel mentality, i.e., to "keep the plebs in check." A kind of unfortunately entitled, circle-jerking elitism that I have had to notice here before...

This site will clearly never be good enough for you.

Here's our code, Learn to Code and go run your own site.

I think you probably place way too much importance on a small website that averages about 10 posts a day.

That's voat-speak for, "hey, look at me."

Next thing they'll start whining about censorship....

I use the block sub feature to keep some subs out of my feed because I'm not interested in reading those posts. The other subs I don't mind seeing since there is little activity in the subs I've subscribed to. I like this way better.

Heaven forbid you disagree with them! They think that free speech means that you are obligated to listen to whatever they babble about.

Yeah, you "like this way better"... because you're a tad lazy and do not like to commit to anything as long as you can get around it, right?

Phuks shouldn't allow that to happen. That's the point. Just like your government shouldn't (and likely doesn't) allow you to take what you want from the grocery store without paying for it... even though no doubt you'd "like this way better," too.

Exactly. It's essentially a manipulation of public popularity numbers to keep underdogs down. Straight from Psy-Op 1O1.
