I have irlen syndrome and light on dark physically hurts. Here's some examples of what I see when I read: I get all but blurry, seesaw, and star wars.

me irl after having lasik. It's almost 3 months since the surgery and halos are gone, but some of that fuckery still happens.

It's quite annoying. I did ortho-k lenses to see if I would be fine with lasik. The answer was "not good enough for the risks."

My brother had no issues whatsoever after his lasik. My BIL had significant complications that took a year to resolve. Me, I had to dim my computer monitors and TV to 50% of what they used to be, light hurts, I'm still putting in drops 10+ times/day almost 3 months in. I'm not quite sure it was worth it yet. Seeing is nice, but man. Replaced every light switch with a dimmer in my house.
