I didnt think this was true but alright.

If yall have been following, Im in a law program in downtown toronto for about 20h a week for 10months.

Anyway

I noticed that on some days, I get alot of attention, and some, people ignore the fuck out me.

Ive noticed whenever I wear my engagement ring, people are nice. Like 'oh. Miss H, do you need help? How are you? Lets go have timmies!!' And im like 'fuck yeah. Bet'

When i dont, people are like 'eyo gurrrl! How u dooinnn?'

Complete 360 change in mood.

Basically, after researching on it, i came to the conclusion that 'boys' (not men) wont bother you if you 'belong' to another man

But dont give a shit if youre alone bevause 'women are free for taking'

Didnt agree with it, but id like other opinions on this.

Yes im female ffs.

this reminds me of several years ago when i went out dancing with a large group of friends. i hit it off right away with the girl who was engaged to a deployed grunt who was thrilled to be out with guys who were totally down to go out dancing because her fiance never would. does it make me a boy or sexist that i refused to take her home at the end of the night because i neither wanted the grunt to get dear john'd nor did i want some grunt following me home from work one night? if you asked my friends at the time, it was a clear signal that i'm gay. if you asked her friend, it was because i'm an asshole. i just wanted a nice time out dancing...

Are you saying that boys in law school are douches?
I'm not surprised. :)

Is that actually sexism though? Or is it horny kids who are assholes?

I'm not so sure that there's a difference.

One is discrimination against women.
The other is an attempt to have sex.
The effect in this instance is similar, but the motive, and intent, is very different.

Because men usually aren't going to invest a lot of time on a woman that they have "interest" in if they're taken. Otherwise, you're a normal person; they'll treat you as such. Which means that if you're taken, you have to earn friendship and comradery whereas if you're not, you don't have to work quite as hard at it.

The answer is simple, the metallic ions from the ring blocks the syrup pheromones secreted by the female Canadian.

Wait, do Canadian women smell like maple syrup? Looks like I'mma be sniffing random Canadian women for science! /s

I don't see how this is sexism. Unless you're calling heterosexualality sexism.

Or possibly you're calling yourself sexist because you're condescending towards men who try pursuing women?

Aside from my confusion as to why you're titling this 'sexism', another interpretation of your situation is that men have to take action to get what they want in social situations.

Some men only want conversation from women so they talk to those who they think are taken. Others want more sexual interaction, so they go for those who they think are single.

Would you prefer that men who want sex pursue married women and men who want conversation pursue single women?

I'm male. When I was younger, after I got married I was propositioned by more women than ever. Some people want the affection without the possibility of it turning into a commitment.

why not get a hooker and use a condom?

Why do you wear your engagement ring on some days and not others?

I get it cleaned by a jeweller. If I dont, I put it in vinegar in the morning, and then put it on when I get home. or Im just playing sports and would rather not lose it in a field.

some of this is a consequence of lack of socialization because techno-addictions

this used to be sorted out at a much younger age.

It sounds like you're getting attention either way, but not always the type of attention you like?

Timmies is Tim Hortons?
