extra moisture on a crisp salad

That's the beauty of it right there. Vegetables are mostly water and soaking them in oil or salts just makes them greasy or tasteless to me. It might help to know I grew up on a farm and would often pick vegetables from the garden and give them a quick rinse under the tap and eat them raw like that.

yeah, i can understand that though the way you said it, i pictured a bowl salad soup lol

but why settle for the boring old taste of veggies when you can be in flavor country?

I think the flavour is mostly artificial and hides the natural goodness but each to their own
