Very cool. I never went to the U of P museum, sounds neat.
The Mutter Museum is also worth a visit and much creepier. Brisk walk, ~1mile away.
I've read about that one, another cool place.

Fascinating to think there was a time in history where Christianity was merged with witchcraft occultism in post-christian Egypt. You just don't hear about that in history books.
I didn't hear about such things until deep into my own research. Had more than a few talks with people who had doctorates in religious fields and not a single one heard of such things until they were halfway or so through their last years in college. I even wrote a research paper for a low-level class and it ended up in another class's curriculum. <shrug> Not sure if that's gonna be my claim to fame or something but whatever, right?
It's more like Christianity is a thug that comes in, steals your holidays, traditions, and symbols and then kicks you out of your house only to turn it into a church.
The UPenn museum has awesome Egyptian exhibits, including watching actual mummies being studied (directly in front of you).
