This is pretty fucked up. It really blows my mind that the State government is allowed to sell my personal information to private companies. I can choose to avoid the likes of Google and Facespace, which harvest and sell ypur data,and there are alternatives to these services. But there isn't an alternative to registering my vehicle with the government. I have to go through them, and I can't stop them from selling my personal data. This is utter bull shit.
