This was talked about a few years ago. The solution is to not leave your flippin' bluetooth on.

I never understood why people leave bluetooth on. There are a lot of security issues and it drains battery. When I walk out my door I turn off wifi, only keep BT on for when I'm driving, keep location off unless I'm actively using it and only switch on NFC the rare seconds I ever need it. I also keep siding covers on my cameras to prevent illicit access. On top of that, I use NoRootFirewall to block any app from network communication entirely (you'd be shocked how much goes on in the background) or to specifically only allow them to access networks over WiFi and not cell towers.

This should be basic cell use for everyone.

I have NetGuard which includes the ability to lockdown ALL traffic. Good stuff.
