It's pretty obvious that it is an election strategy. They're attempting to criminalize the idea of "white nationalism", which they very purposefully never clearly define, so anyone wearing a MAGA hat can eventually be deemed a domestic terrorist. If their domestic terrorism bill passes and Trump loses in 2020, it's going to be a very scary time to be to the right of Bernie Sanders in this country.

So the dems want black people to fear white people. While the Republicans want white people to fear non whites.....

Also, the statement that the KKK is a democratic organization is laughable. Just simply look at the memberships political affiliation and where they are most prevelant.

I assume you mean "fear" and "hate" to mean the same...

laws that enforced racial segregation in the Southern United States. All were enacted in the late 19th and early 20th centuries by white Democratic-dominated state legislatures

Meanwhile, people forget that dixiecrats were a thing

So if the party has never changed since then, it must of been the Republicans who fought for civil rights in the 60's. I wont excuse what happened in the past, but its completely asinine to claim that things haven't changed in a massive way.

Nearly three times more democrats voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964 than republicans. When counting the vote for it, we find that it's nearly equal with the balance only slightly tipped in favor of democrats. All told, however, a larger percentage of democrats vs republicans voted "nay."

I think that record speaks plainly enough.
