overwhelming anger that a young woman of colour is unapologetically succeeding.

By her own admission, she is Jewish. I have no problems with anyone because of race but I do have a problem with a race whose common tactic is to pretend to be another race. There is a reason that the "fellow white people" line is so popular when referring to the Jewish race as a whole. So, fine... pretend to be white, get treated like one. This whole nonsense of having a double-treatment system where it's okay for one race to do something but not another is the epitome of evil and it needs to stop. So since we're treating her like she's white, I don't care one bit that she is successful or not.

On Tuesday Turner ranted in the Wall Street Journal that Ocasio-Cortez “has little regard for the system that made it possible for her to be elected to Congress”.

When you tell people who aren't elected to "shut up, filthy peasants", you absolutely don't have any regard for "the system" and should be immediately pulled from office.

“I guess WSJ Editorial Page takes pride in their ignorance of our nation’s history of slavery, Jim Crow, & mass incarceration; willful doubt on the decades of science on climate change; targeting of indigenous peoples, and the classist, punitive agenda targeting working families.”

Ignoring, for the moment, that anything she says after her "peasants" rant should be completely ignored, she (again) has no clue what she's talking about. Fact: More democrats have consistently voted against civil rights laws than republicans with literally only one exception. So stop talking about civil rights, you have no idea what you're talking about.

And "indigenous peoples"??? You're Jewish, you're not indigenous in any way. I can live on a reservation if I want so stop using "indigenous people" as a political talking point. When you gonna get off my land, Cortez?

Imma stop there. The rest of the piece of essentially op-ed with twisted "facts" and outright lies.

This woman should not be in office in any measure.

This woman should not be in office in any measure.

100% agreed. This quote is enough to justify it:

Yup. If you don’t like the #GreenNewDeal, then come up with your own ambitious, on-scale proposal to address the global climate crisis.

Until then, we’re in charge - and you’re just shouting from the cheap seats.

This fucking dickhead works for the American people, not the other way arround. The sheer arrogance is staggering.

at that point you start subdivided the races you discover there are 40+ physically identifiable varieties of people (pygmy vs Inuit vs Alpine european etc)

Artists have to know this stuf so they can do accurate drawings, etc.

see https://www.deviantart.com/majnouna/art/Guide-to-Human-Types-part-1-32046017

so you need to decided which are good and bad for your purposes. and the dividing lines are not always convenient.

as to the article

Ms. Ocasio-Cortez, a New York Democrat, made the reveal on Sunday evening at a Jackson Heights synagogue in Queens, telling the crowd that “a very, very long time ago, generations and generations ago, my family consisted of Sephardic Jews.”

She dated her ancestry to those who had to flee Europe during the Spanish Inquisition more than 500 years ago, and sought refuge in the New World. “Some of those people landed in Puerto Rico,” she explained.

“As is the story of Puerto Rico, we are a people that are an amalgamation,” she said. “We are no one thing. We are black; we are indigenous; we are Spanish; we are European.”

how many generations back is sufficient to be "pure enough" for your standards?

because, for example, because of mixing over the generations, all modern europeans also have literal descent from Mohammed. But that obviously does not make you Islamic, to be shot on site.

see: http://nicholasjames19.blogspot.com/2016/01/you-are-most-likely-descendant-of.html

If you a Western European, or a North American or, perhaps, from the Western world in some way, shape or form, you are most likely a descendant of the Prophet Muḥammad ibn‘Abdu’llāh (c. 570 – 632 AD), the Revealer of the Qur’ān, the Messenger of God and Seal of the Prophets (peace and prayers be upon Him and His family and companions).

In my case, He is my 45th-great-grandfather (or, in other words, my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great- great-great-great-great-great- great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great- great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great- great-great-great-great-great-Grandfather, with a capital ‘G’), through a rather circuitous line via New England settlers, the Plantagenets and the Spanish royal family).

In fact, anyone with any connection to Edward III of England or to the Spanish Royal Family is also descended through the same European route to antiquity, including Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince George.[i] Cole, a Middle East scholar, even goes so far as to call it ‘common knowledge to anyone interested in genealogy’

If you are descendant of every European of that period who left a line of descendants continuing to the modern day, you are also a descendant of every Arab and North African Muslim settler of Spain who left descendants.

In 2013, geneticists Peter Ralph and Graham Coop showed that all Europeans are descended from exactly the same people. Basically, everyone alive in the ninth century who left descendants is the ancestor of every living European today, including Charlemagne, Drogo, Pippin and more. Including all those pesky Islamic people in Spain. And every Jew then alive in Europe too

you too

so that 1% of jewish noise in the genome is sufficient to label you will all characteristics you hate, just like you label her.

how fitting. proof positive of your "secret heritage", with the same quality of proof that you used against her

Science!

Artists have to know this stuf so they can do accurate drawings

You do know you're talking to one, right? Just checking...

But that obviously does not make you Islamic, to be shot on site.

Apples and oranges. Islam is a religion, Jewish is a race. Make a better point, one that directly refutes her claims to heritage. Perhaps you didn't see me where I was talking about... this?

I can live on a reservation if I want so stop using "indigenous people" as a political talking point.

Yeah, I've done the requisite ancestry trace to the Dawes Rolls. There's more indigenous in me than she has in her pinky toe.

showed that all Europeans are descended from exactly the same people

Yeah, you really missed my point there.

Let's add to it that she shouldn't be making a claim to a race if it's all dispersed by now. Either she is or she isn't. But she claimed she is so I'm going right along with it. You're not arguing with me here because you're literally trying to say that she's wrong.

Aaannnnd finally, that whole "what about Europeans" is a fine case of a Russian tactic called "What-aboutism." It's a way to try to claim that the other person should have nothing to say because they're wrong on their own account or some nonsense. Except this time you assumed my race

LOL

Are you done just being mad because race talk ist verbotten? Or do you have a legitimate point to make? Because I'd really like to see you get to it sometime today.

Edit: I can edit my posts too, in order to make them look like something else was said from that start.

well we know Puerto rico has a real mixed bag when it comes to ancestry. Puerto Ricans, on average, have genetic contributions from Europeans, West Africans, and Native Americans of approximately 66%, 18%, and 16%, respectively.

We know there were Jewish refugees from spain there.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Jews_in_Puerto_Rico

so she owns having a jewish ancestor someplace in the family tree, and you conflate the is being 100% jewish.

The question remains, how main generations is sufficient to remove stain her credibility?

It blows my mind that an econ major has such a poor understanding of the cost feasibility of her plan. Of course our reps are going to be ignorant in some areas because not every individual has healthcare, education, law enforcement, military, etc. personal experience. Cortez studied economics and still displays her embarrassing economic ignorance.

but all of those rich people deserved those tax cuts.

they work so hard, we should support them

[–] MirrorMan 0 points (+0|-0)

Your point has zero relation to my statement. Let's not pretend like the corporate dems would touch corporate tax rates or capital gains tax rates. Income tax pandering is an annoying trait of the republicans just like public sector expansion is an annoying trait of the democrats. Neither accomplishes anything meaningful beyond securing votes.

America is amassing, now illegal immigrants and criminals can work in government.
