Oh look Voat has arrived.

No one cares about reposts from the last US elections anymore, they're over.

Oh no Team B, get'em..
There's some irony to be found, I think.

Not everyone on the internet is from the US. That election was beyond irritating on all sides.

I don't disagree? I'm not from the US, and I too found it irritating.
But attacking a 'Voat bogeyman' isn't much different than op going after the 'Left'.

It's not wrong, but it is counterproductive.

Left vs Right.
Red team vs. Blue team.
Why do people really believe politics can be accurately simplified like that? Or that it is useful to?
The video is not wrong, but 'The Left' is not a person, place, or thing. It is a group of ideas.
Videos like this just feed the fire. Who is it talking to? It's not going to convince anyone that doesn't already agree, so what purpose does it serve?

Misdirection. People get riled up over a Left that doesn't exist, while nothing happens to the actual causes.
Most people are not two dimensional. Their beliefs tend to be complex, and often contradictory.
If a person feels that they are 100% Team A, then they are probably an extremist.

the average voat user

I completely agree with your above statements. I'm not defined by one single issue and have thoughts that can evolve and change as I continue to age and learn. We as a society are far more complex then these videos want you to believe.
