I don't disagree? I'm not from the US, and I too found it irritating.
But attacking a 'Voat bogeyman' isn't much different than op going after the 'Left'.
It's not wrong, but it is counterproductive.
Perhaps, but I think the core group of users that originally moved here from Voat were all sick of the toxicity of political discussion. That election made it so difficult to talk about anything openly because it polarised everything. I don't think it's a bad thing to not want to bring that here.
