Well I disagree with your idea here, I think users should be able to ask questions or make statements without outting themselves, it encourages speech rather than deters it.

But why should that require an extra "protection" layer? They already are anon on the internet. If you anticipate controversy with your statement, don't make it unless you're prepared to defend it. It just seems extra cowardly.

Extra cowardly or not it’s still speech and should be encouraged if it’s a bad idea it will be shown to be such.

Why anything anon? Already anonymous users shouldn't be able to hide behind another layer. Own your words and risk those precious internet points needed for ego inflation.
