The only cat I wasn't allergic to was a himalayan named Sammy. He was my grandmothers, and I called him the War Vet because even at 20 years old he'd bring home snakes and mice. My allergy is due to the parasites that live in our eye lashes... they're allergic and bother my eyes something terrible. Sounds like you have a skin allergy which is equally shitty. Glad you got over it and can enjoy your pets :)

Skin allergic reactions to some, I get have trouble breathing around others. I'm happy i powered through and got over my issues with my girl cat. I should just get the general allergy shots tho

I'm allergic as fuck to other cats. One of my cats was never a problem, my second cat I broke out in hives for the first year whenever she licked me, but my body got used to her and it's all good now.
