Many people are mildly racist: you should have better luck discussing related issues around here than you did on raddle.

Posting content of any kind that incites discrimination, hate or violence towards one person or a group of people because of their belonging to a race, religion or nation is strictly prohibited.

This is a little ambiguous, but I think any reasonable interpretation isn't a real impediment to good discussion. The admins seem reasonable.

I only brought it up because I am somewhat outspoken, but I can curb my own views seeing as this is someone else's house and I am not here to wipe my ass with the curtains after I shit on the coffee table.

Just want to help at least one person......maybe more it that is indeed possible.

As for helping people, Many around here are quite aware of and bored with voat's dominant views, so I doubt you'll find many to 'educate' if that's what you mean. Perhaps you'll find some worthwhile discussion anyway.

Oh the views of whatever Voat was isn't what I am even going to try anymore.

My main focus from now on is the making of AR-15 from 80% lowers and different upper configurations and small engine repairs like mowers and such. Just general things that many don't know and just need a hand sometimes form another person.

How far is this enforced? I'm still finding my bearings. I have been looking for a place that's in between reddit and Voat. I'm glad your front page doesn't look like a Nazi spergfest, but I also hope we can have frank discussions about things like the Islamification of Europe without our comments being deleted. Otherwise there's no difference from reddit.

In fact, I don't really see a mission statement anywhere. Could anyone give me a rundown of what does differentiate this place from reddit and/or why it was created?

I'm nobody around here, but I get the impression that there is no clear mission statement, apart from some obvious states of dysfunction that the admins probably prefer to avoid if possible.

Sticking to the facts of specific issues and trying to avoid asserting sweeping/emotive conclusions would probably be wise. If someone unreasonable was enforcing that rule, there are a lot of things that could be interpreted as 'inciting discrimination' - but again, the admins seem reasonable.
