Boneless... what's the difference in cuts? this is shoulder cut i think... and I've never bothered to learn pig cuts I roast it all the same way mostly.
They're both shoulder cuts, just different sections. The butt is around the shoulder blade while the picnic is more of the leg.
thank you very much that was insightful... never bothered to learn. I knew back ribs have less grizzle than side ribs so I guess it's best if I continue and learn all cuts
edit: first comment said the label mismatched for them. I don't think it's tasteless crap however because with proper seasoning it was really pretty enjoyable.
Looks more like a boston butt than a picnic, but both are equally tasty. Is it boneless or bone-in?
