My dad got one and put it on the plymouth wagon, Arizona is known for dry hot weather (115° and 15 % humidity in August) and that swamp cooler only worked for a short time, held about a gallon of water and once it got to ambient temperature it just blew hot air.

Very cool - LOL - no pun intended. I knew of these but saw very few on the high humidity east coast where I grew up.
