The 4 day work week is beautiful. We had every second Monday off as part of our industry agreement and the long weekend and extra non-weekend day to do stuff was awesome. The guys at that time with kids said it added a whole new quality of life for them.
I had the same thing for a number of years and absolutely agree. The only difference was I had to work 4/10 hour days. That wasn't bad at all and the added advantage of having another week day off was more than worth it.
My days were log as well. I did construction at the time so I was there at 7am and often did 10-12 hour+ days especially in Daylight Savings times. The extra money was well worth it for me too.
If you've got some humdrum job where your not really doing anything, this sounds great for everyone. May not work for a production job, unless the robots do all the work.
