Authors write characters with varied viewpoints that are not necessarily shared by the author. If they didn't books would be horribly monotonous and without conflict. You can't say for certain that those are Asimov's personal views, this character (Dr. Susan Calvin, a robopsychologist) might be representing the dominant social attitude at the time of writing.
