Update: male skunk sniffed me and walked away

I was walking home and Big Chonkers was in the yard. Sat down, held my hand out, he sniffed and just left. I don't know if I should be happy or offended

Fantastic pest control creatures tho. They eat ticks and spiders like it's their job

also seems adept at keeping a family of raccoons from taking its den. just wish they ate ants too.
