Maybe if you're an idiot that spends $300 on a yeti cooler you would think "geez black people can't afford this".
Isn't the point of "camping" to get the 'gram likes though? Who the fuck actually goes out into nature to enjoy things like solitude, peace, quiet, beauty, and isolation. If you don't have signal, how are you supposed to keep consuming and buying off Amazon like a good citizen?
ikr? Buy some leather boots without the stupid plastic sock thing, any basic tent will work if you're not a retard that plops a tent on the greenest grass in a valley, sleeping bags - ok I can see spending a pretty penny on those reallly good ones where you can keep it zipped but plop your foot out to deal with the heat situation, pads - depends. All in all you could happily camp for the cost of some Jordan's or like you said, do an iPhone level for yuppy-level camping
This is just some of the laziest kind of race baiting. It's really just about a girl who decided to start putting together camping kits and giving them to people, mostly targeted at inner city black people who had never experienced camping. She's doing something decent and the L.A. Times had to bring in racist imagery because they think someone doing something decent is not the "news" people will click on.
Yeah geez, that article started off well with a girl spending her savings to share her love of camping, but then rapidly devolved into "George Floyd" and "white guilt". I truly hate "journalists" in this era
The media has been circling the drain for decades now, but it does indeed seem like they are accelerating in overdrive to become solely propaganda outlets.
The LA times is no saner or wiser than the NY times.
.... I'm sensing a pattern...
