He was clearly nervous and scared. There's no training or rehearsal for civilians when dealing with police. He was accused of passing s fraudulent check, a very non violent crime. That he has not been convicted of.

As far as he knows, he got pulled over for no reason. And was likely reaching for his wallet and registration, as you do during a traffic stop. Then immediately he has a gun shoved in his face.

From there it looks to me like he had a full blown panic attack. Cops are less than worthless when dealing with mental health issues.

All of this aside, George Floyd did not deserve to die.

I think you are being disingenuous.

Would you have advised George to do any of the things that he decided to do on that day?

No, in a calm and methodical scenario I would not. But real life is messy, and with adrenaline coursing through your veins, logic flies out the window, with self preservation taking its place.

Nonetheless I stand by my statement. Nothing he did displayed a real threat to officers lives. George Floyd did not deserve to be murdered. Much less over the course of 8 terrifying minutes.
