I decided to run a little fake news experiment yesterday. I was unsurprised but disappointed its been a top post without anyone noticing.

The video is from 2014 when the Seahawks won the superbowl.

The second video I posted later in the thread about riots in British columbia was a news report that clearly stated it was caused by the loss of a hockey match in 2011.

What initially was me trying to prove the point that people have rioted worse, for dumber reasons. Has turned into a good lesson to check sources.

I watched your seattle video, didn't see any comparison to the today's riots. I commented that they didn't have a garden, which was too subtle, apparently. You didn't make any claims about the video and your title was not misleading, so I didn't see a need to press the point.

I chose my responses carefully to not acknowledge or promote the misrepresentation.

I didn't put much thought into the whole thing as much of my shenanigans are impulsive drunk nonsense.

But I think its a great representation of how literal fake news can propagate.
