I just realized I subconsciously do this to people, and I wonder now if this whole time they thought I was trolling them. This explains why nobody likes talking to me.
I read what you said the other day in that other topic about talking over people. I used to do the same and still do and its a hard habit to break especially if you haven't got a lot of people close who are willing to call you on it. Sometimes it's just best to nod and smile and let them carry the conversation.
Wow, didn't think anyone would actually pay attention to that. Yea thanks for understanding. I have been trying to hold my tongue during conversations now. It's kind of hard, because I have to draw a line somewhere in between talking too much and not talking at all. I think this stems from me being introverted by nature, so I don't really have good conversation flow.
You need to hone in on something related to what they were saying but sends them down a different path. Like if they are telling you a story about what happened in the hospital they were working at, halfway through and just before the important bit of their story, say something like "this was in the 'so and so' hospital right?" They will be completely thrown off their story but they won't get angry because it seems like you were interested in what they were saying. It usually takes a couple of interjections like this in the same conversation then they start realizing you are trolling the fuck out of them so just keep it to one or two each time, and a week apart at least. You can do this indefinitely to some people if you play your cards right.
