Why go through all that nonsense when you can just take the phone and watch, smash them, and then dump the body some place to be found???

Is cloud storage a possibility? I don't know apple products, but I know they like their clouds. Also, this is a journalist, so cloud makes sense.

I've also heard it suggested that the whole watch thing is a cover for a Turkish mole at the consulate, but that's obviously speculation.

Even so, taking the devices would have at least added a layer of "trail covering" since they would have had to get access to the online account without any evidence that the phone was on him.

So the real questions are: how is it that:

  1. This newspaper had the resources to determine all this (including fingerprint dusting)

  2. This newspaper can do what appears to be real journalism but US newspapers are still a joke?

I guess its possible the PIN and fingerprint stuff could have been inferred from audio evidence, but I'm still not sure why the audio hasn't been released if that's the case.

Lots of questions still unanswered with this one. This definitely has the potential to spark a much bigger conflict, so I hope some solid evidence gets released before people make too many assumptions.

As far as we know, this newspaper is just a mouthpiece for the Turkish government. No evidence of journalistic investigation.
