Yeah, that was the best part of it. I wonder if any still exist ... kinda doubt it.
On gaming, by the time I got into playing beyond BBS's and into the internet, I was pretty much gamed out from all the old school game stuff from Atari, Commodore, etc, etc, on up. Loading the tapes, then floppies ... playing those games ... then I went onto a little more sophisticated stuff, but always just basic computer games, except for a little bit of playing cards and such on some of those free game sites they used to have, otherwise I was burned out. I did have one submarine game I played a lot ... forget the name ... it was really complicated, but again, just a game, not online.
I did a lot of IRC way, way back, too. So burned out of that years ago also - LOL. It was a great place to steal mp3s and even set up your own channels. Fun was had by all ... oh yeah, and I was a professional mp3 thief back then. Always fun downloading a song that took an hour to get ...
Hey, spent a lot of times on those bulletin boards, too. We had a local one that had Wednesday night trivia night and they'd have a couple dozen folks playing. My wife and kids loved it and it became a Wed night thing for us. Between all four of us, we did really well. Probably cheating though with four of us.
