Yeah, that was the best part of it. I wonder if any still exist ... kinda doubt it.

On gaming, by the time I got into playing beyond BBS's and into the internet, I was pretty much gamed out from all the old school game stuff from Atari, Commodore, etc, etc, on up. Loading the tapes, then floppies ... playing those games ... then I went onto a little more sophisticated stuff, but always just basic computer games, except for a little bit of playing cards and such on some of those free game sites they used to have, otherwise I was burned out. I did have one submarine game I played a lot ... forget the name ... it was really complicated, but again, just a game, not online.

I did a lot of IRC way, way back, too. So burned out of that years ago also - LOL. It was a great place to steal mp3s and even set up your own channels. Fun was had by all ... oh yeah, and I was a professional mp3 thief back then. Always fun downloading a song that took an hour to get ...

We used to run IRC channels while we played Ultima Online, that's my one experience with it.

They had a channel made by some folks back in my hometown in PA ... it was really fun to connect to folks I didn't necessarily know before, but with familiar territory to discuss. I made a lot of friends.
