Little storms don't sell headlines. They also don't make people rush to the store to prep, thereby "boosting" the economy.
So...WE MUST FEAR THE SUBTROPICAL WATERS!!
They're not getting to me, I was already prepped and hiding in my basement.
I'm guessing you're making a joke, or maybe I'm just missing something because I don't watch the news, but based on these comments I feel I should mention that the subtropics are a geographical region. In other words, tropical is a noun here, not an adjective.
Maybe a small storm, but it's been raining here in SW FL for about... 8 days straight. We were in a small drought before this. Anyways, low areas are starting to flood, and there's a shit load of low areas around here (Seriously, last year when I was still surveying we took elevation on a place 5 miles from the gulf that was at 3 ft. above sea level).
I'm pretty sure they used to call them Tropical Depressions, which was anything smaller than a Tropical Storm.
