Overall, the process was pretty easy, with only one minor issue during the installation process. The hardest thing to get used to is the lack of Google apps and the fact that finding alternatives to your favorite apps can be difficult or full of malicious software. But I do enjoy having a phone completely devoid of Google Garbage.

I used to load ROMs almost every month on my HTC but bought a Galaxy S7. Fucking locked bootloader.

Yep. And I'm glad i avoided picking up a new Galaxy phone. Then again, I didn't care for curved glass or good mobile VR support.

That's why I made sure my new phone was compatible with LineageOS. My last phone was impossible to root and full if bloatware. And I am sick of rooting my phone just so I can delete a bunch of Google shit.

I like lineageOS, but with my current phone, it disables some of it's quirks because they haven't been able to get it to work reliably.

That's why I bought this phone, it works well with LineageOS.

Meh, I run a gutted version of the stock OS for it, with only the carrier specific stuff and some phone specific proprietary drivers needed, that way all the things I do use work properly since there isn't much in the way to alternatives at this time.

No matter, Looking to replace it soon. Maybe with purism's librem 5 phone after it launches.
