I got my quiz back today for my English class (pre-midterm, so she was sitting on her ass for a while), and it was a spelling test-type. my teacher has a thick Swedish accent so its hard to hear her clearly.
where I was supposed to put 'foreign' I put 'faran' because I couldn't fathom what the fuck she was saying.

I took Spanish in high school and then did independent study of French. I can now find the bathroom and the library if left alone in France or Mexico.
