Ugh. I've tried to stay neutral throughout this situation because I don't really want to be dragged into a Voat flame war and I have no horse in that race anymore, but that's just poor. It takes 5 minutes to type up an announcement to tell everyone what's going on.
He opted for a childish haiku for is first response. That pissed me off more than anything... which made the alarm exponentially louder. Some voaters are eating it up with no question.
For a while I stood by Putts management style, but his complete mishandling of the latest situation has been absolutely insane. I don't understand how anyone can still stand by and say that nothing is wrong.
How fucking hard would it be for him to make a fucking announcement and update the canary? Maximum of 3 minutes? Maybe he should try addressing the site issues instead of writing fucking haiku's.

Here is the deal. Last fundraiser they got way more than they let on and have since decided to just run it into the ground. I say their shit so letem.
I deleted my account and since have gotten multiple emails of harassment, tried to get me slandered here 3 times that I know of, and two people have attempted to get me to commit a felon by selling them a completed lower.
Oh yeah before I deleted my account I had 23 pings. Within the Anon subs.

I've known Justin for a while. The person responding to me today was not him.

Dude I already know. The site is being kept up now for information gathering I feel. Just sick of non involvement by them. He has said we many times when referring to admin (puttitout has) yet he never said who that was when I asked him.
While back someone posted there was something like 600+ BTC in their coinbase wallet and showed the link how they knew. I don't know how that shit works so took it with a grain of salt.
If true they have well over 6m dollars usd. That makes actual sense to me as well with the entire ordeal as of late too. Or maybe he just got sick of the place, but people were trying to get me to commit felonies, then doxxing others, and just not giving a fuck in general.
Atko comes back site works and won't say a word about it? Yeah I get none of them owe us anything, but fuck me if after 3.8y of an account with multiple sub creations and an enormous amount of content I wouldn't at least be a bit more civil.

People will tell you this site is ran by sanegoatiswear and pretty sure that is bullshit as I don't think they would have been near as nice to me if that were true.

This is actually consistent with the Puttitout of the last year+, from what I've seen. Petty, vindictive, and with apparently more time spent insulting people who added content/donated/helped find bugs/etc, than actually running and/or improving the site. It's why I stopped donating, didn't create another sub when I had an idea for one, and basically stopped posting to my small music sub, aside for about 1-2 times a month.
Once Atko left and Putt took over, it honestly made the original sanegoat (before his account turned into a vulgar, spamming parody of itself) theories seem more sound than ever.
*Edit: I also want to point out that most of the people mocking chmod and defending Putt are SBBHers.
I'm convinced it's the same Puttitout too. His behavior has been petty, angry, and uncompromising for at least a month. He lashes out at criticism and concern rather than react with a 'thank you, I'll look into this' can-do spirit.
Sanegoat is over the top but I agree with him when it comes to his argument that SBBH in essence 'have the keys'.
The SBBH unquestioning defense says one thing to me - he gave them power and they're fighting anyone who looks at Puttitout sideways because they are basking in that power. They aren't only defending him. They're defending themselves by proxy. SBBH is here too by the way.
Unless I'm missing some sort of covert cabal, s/SDBH is just a bunch of autistic shit posters. I can attest to that.
If that isn't the case, then I am very disappointing for not being invited to participate on the diabolical plot.
