I was able to delete my account just now. Not sure I wanted to, but it was the only way to test. I was heading for that point as well. I went for the total nuke and deleted everything.
So, if it's not everyone getting that error, does that mean the people getting that error have been manually banned from deleting their accounts?

How old was your account? That may be part of the issue. Mine is 2.8 years old.

I can't delete my account either. It says I have been "globally banned" WTF?!?!?
