Make sure you outline your concerns to the reno team (landlord first) and they may just listen to you a bit. They'll probably think (go fuck yourself) but if you make good points about things they may put your thoughts into the construction project. Which'd be cool because it's yours for now

Yeah we're getting a whole new bathroom so that will be real nice. The previous one was nearly a breaking point for us.
And yeah the landlord doesn't really know what he's doing. (Or at least plays the part well). But the contractors do.
Plus today I set up my coffee maker for them and brought them donuts. So we're on good terms.

I appreciate it. We had a coworker who was gonna do some work for our landlord and totally flaked out. So they lost a weeks worth of work before the landlord got some contractors in.
That's when they discovered it wasn't just a little leak, but that the entire bathroom needed to be torn out.
