Yeah we're getting a whole new bathroom so that will be real nice. The previous one was nearly a breaking point for us.
And yeah the landlord doesn't really know what he's doing. (Or at least plays the part well). But the contractors do.
Plus today I set up my coffee maker for them and brought them donuts. So we're on good terms.

That's really good. if you have any slight mods you want to make ask them if it's possible. this is the time... a lot of little things like where you want this and that can be done real fast. don't miss that opportunity! glad you've got yourself a woman too! those are important in the life spec of things hehh

Yeah the younger one noticed we didn't have a single outlet in the bathroom. So I think we'll now be getting two. I've been quite impressed on their demolition skills. But have yet to see any construction skills.
And yeah she's a lurker on here. This is our first place together, so it's starting out rocky. But it's also sort of brought us together in mutual frustration and stress. We keep eachother level.

Oh I thought you bought it! landlords are a fucking pain in my arse. was it a downstairs bathroom? clay piping? Think of it this way, once it's done it'll be better than before. Make sure you outline your concerns to the reno team (landlord first) and they may just listen to you a bit. They'll probably think (go fuck yourself) but if you make good points about things they may put your thoughts into the construction project. Which'd be cool because it's yours for now
