I clicked on this because I do believe that soy legitimately makes males more effeminate.......and instantly I'm bombarded with blatant political bias

How is compiling empirical data politically bias exactly?

Have you any significant numbers of examples of men who consume lots of soy, are not complete pussies and left wing extremists, who are on the far right of the political spectrum?

Give that some thought.

It's more a problem with the presentation than the actual facts. The video does not make an attempt to be neutral or accessible to anyone who isn't familiar with the lingo of young right wingers on the internet.

I get that this guy is probably a comedian, but it bugs me that the only places I've ever seen this data presented in video format, it's always accompanied by bias. You can say "soy decreases male testosterone levels, causing them to become more likely to develop depression and be effeminate" without the stuff about left wingers. The part about left wingers is only supported by cherry picked Twitter posts, not actual data. I wouldn't doubt that left beliefs are at least slightly more common among those with lower T levels, but that's a conclusion that shouldn't be jumped to without evidence.

Suggest you watch the first 6 seconds again.

Edit:

Also, cherry picked data is still data.

And again, do you have any significant numbers of examples of manly men who consume lot's of soy and end up on the far right? Or even one?

That shit about soy-based baby infant formula equating to the estrogen content of taking 5 birth control pills per day is pretty horrifying. That many hormones ingested for years would have to fuck with those babies.

Can't be good for baby boys, or girls for that matter. I'd wager the powers that be who managed to make it so popular were well aware of all of this.

It's probably a lot cheaper to use soy and those in charge will be long retired by the time the health ramifications are fully understood

I don't think that's a problem. There's estrogen in breast milk as well. It is concerning in adults though.

There's estrogen in breast milk as well.

Yes, but how much. Also, there are a bunch of other hormones in breast milk.

How well does soy baby formula imitate the quantity and balance of hormones in breast milk?

Further, what about the chemical makeup?

How well do babies absorb breast milk estrogen compared to formula estrogen, soy or otherwise?
