A bit ... shallow presentation. Also a few "lose assumptions" that don't add up.

  • no mention of the far superior AA capabilities from Russia. S-400 especially.

  • Russia and China don't trust eachother at all. (China ripped Russia off on the Jet tech)

  • He mentions oil supplies (vital for war) but not of food, medicine and supplies. He also doesnt mention gas supplies from Russia to EU.

After going trough nearly all the defense forces pages on wikipedia during modernpowers I do think Russia nd EU are evenly matches (asside from the nuclear arsenal) Let's just hope it will never happen.

I think it is probably safe to say that it would be outside factors that decide the winner.
Whether the US/China/Other Asia, got involved, and on whos side, would determine the outcome.

And one or more of them would undoubtedly get involved.

If we keep allies and nuclear out of the direct battle hypothesis, I do think in the longterm EU would win due to:

  • better supply routes

  • navy supremacy

  • self sufficiency in food, medicine, supply production within the EU.

  • Shortages of food, medicine and common supplies with a possible famine as an outcome in Russia.

  • Overwhelming manpower once Conscripts are called up from the EU.
