I assume he's talking about the MMR vaccine as he's referring to the spurious link to autism.

Trump is, but this article is pushing a narrative that is much broader. They're promoting their beliefs by hiding behind one persons fears about one symptom.

Hell, the vaccine court wikipedia article does the same thing. They go down the list of vaccines that have horrible, debilitating side effects, but always end with *buy hey, it doesn't cause autism!" as if that's any consolation as your child is slowly loses their ability to speak, move, or hold their bowls.

The link between autism and vaccines may be unproven, but there are far worse conditions that already are.

I don't think the article is doing that. I think they're reporting that the President of the USA holds beliefs which are dangerous to public health.

I suppose that's a matter of opinion, so I won't argue.

At the very least I think its disingenuous to call them "his own experts," considering that the department of health selects the director of the CDC.

Either way, I'm not a fan of the politics of Trump, Independent, or the CDC. Its just frustrating to see people argue about unproven theories when there are real issues to be discussed.
