I think sometimes we overestimate the military. Before this I would've imagined these things would have been scanned 100 different ways in a matter of minutes and either shot down or captured soon after, but here we are. Seems a bit suss they took so long to do what a couple of kids with slingshots could have done. Maybe this was some kind of reaction test.

It was hilarious to hear the local radio host saying "over the last few hours talks have seriously shifted to shooting the drone down." I can just imagine the ball-wringing going on over this.
