Just set your hotkeys as the F-keys, and you can jump your right hand off mouse to the keys easily, AND they are super organizable that way (most critical at F12, F8 and F4, for quick hit (like heal potion or whatever).
And with "shift usually being "target selection" or "weapon selection" you don't need mouse to select.

Sure! What are we talking, 1/4th a second? It's easier for me to get hand back on mouse without looking with my dominant hand then it is to place my left back in place without looking. I'll end up trying to move right and move down, or try to move down and move right or left, something wrong. Mouse is always right where you left it!
