This is his job that fired him. Due process is for legal proceedings not for private enterprises. His name is in the tabloids for these allegations and those allegations look bad for his employers. This costs them money. He works in California and California employees are presumed to be employed “at-will”, the employer has a right to terminate an employee's employment for any reason or no reason, with or without notice.

I think you may have misunderstood what I meant.
I believe these things should be left to the courts, not public opinion. I am not trying to say they shouldn't be allowed to, I'm saying it's a scummy move. Though entirely understandable from the companys point of view (profit).

Replace the word 'rape' with any other crime, and the public would not be clamoring for a sacrifice. They would let 'due process' handle it. But this is not going before the courts, he will not get legal proceedings. Instead he is being judged, and sentenced by mob opinion.
What I am trying to say is that if a crime has been committed, he should be arrested, if not he should be treated as innocent. But a public mob destroying him, without the involvement of any legal proceedings, is an abomination of justice.

If he's guilty, lock him up. If not the mob has no right to wreck him like this. I'm not saying they can't, just that they should be ashamed, not proud.

I agree with you. I just find the Scientology shit shady as fuck on this case. His file at the LAPD got "lost", the captain of the Hollywood division of the department has been seen at the Scientology celebrity center and also accepted donations from Scientology. I believe in innocent until proven guilty but I have doubts that his case is being handled without tampering.

Well I'm also always a fan of investigating if things seem fishy. I just prefer it be done by professionals in pursuit of the truth, rather than someone who has an agenda, or is making a profit.
If there is evidence, then it would not be difficult to get law enforcement to look into it.
Trial by media is not necessary, can be suspect at times, and is more likely to interfere with an investigation, than aid it.

Also, there are going to be times where an injustice slips through. It is a bitter pill, but one we must swallow if we're going to have any justice at all.
O.J., Hillary, and to a lesser extent Tyson are great examples of guilty people walking free. But mob-justice is not an answer, in my opinion.
