Light pollution is a definite problem, everywhere. And you're right, there is no one to ask, but I can imagine a future when this kind of stuff becomes commonplace. That's kind of a universal problem nowadays when it comes to many areas of science, like cloning, DNA manipulation, a hundred different areas. But there's no way we need another 'government' regulating it either. Sooner or later some comet will come along and get us all anyway, I suppose.

Good article. I was wondering this myself when I saw the article earlier announcing this. Like who the hell gave you permission to put this thing in my sky! They're right, before we know it, they'll be satellites flashing across the night sky advertising Tide Pods or something, and we won't even be able to see the stars.
