In my experience most people either end up very similar to the type of people their parents were, or their opposites.

My daughter wasn't much like me when she was young. She was well behaved, good tempered, and intelligent. When she was a teen she rebelled against my legacy by getting good grades and not using drugs, and not getting arrested.
I'm not sure where she learned that kind of behaviour, but I can assure you it wasn't me.
Now that she's an adult, she is beginning to come around. Since university she has become less restrained. A touch of the wild, but fortunately not too much.

So what about your offspring? Are they like you or are they your nemesis?
If you don't have kits yet, are you like your parents?

I don't have any kids yet, but I see a lot of my father in myself. We had our early rebel days, but now I have things to do. I have a house to maintain and people that rely on me. I listen and take in as much info as I can before making decisions, even stubborn sometimes about not doing something until I know more info and really feel good about, but sometimes when people push me too much, that hidden fire comes out.
