My comment was made with an intent probably closer to your original interpretation.
Life does have to go on though. These kids shouldn't be expected to live in a bunker for 3 years.
I doubt the Saudi's were targeting school buses that day, but they may not have cared either way. With no respect for life in that part of the world, it's tough to be appalled by anything that happens.

I'm no expert, but given their modern military hardware - my initial assumption is that they hit what they intended to. From the article:
In a statement carried by the official Saudi press agency, the Saudi-led coalition called the strike a “legitimate military action” targeting elements responsible for a Houthi missile attack on the Saudi city of Jizan on Wednesday. “[The airstrikes] conformed to international and humanitarian laws,” the statement said. It accused the Iran-aligned Houthis of using children as human shields.
Were there a couple of militants hanging out with the kids teaching them rocket science that day? Was it a stray missile? Did some psychotic soldier intentionally hit the bus for kicks? I guess we'll never know.
Regardless, when a bus full of children is incinerated we should probably try to give a shit. As per my comment above, I think 'that part of the world' has a lot to do with it - a bus full of white kids is a different matter.
I guess we'll never know.
I'm not sure if this is sarcasm or reflection on the incident.

If the bus was targeted, we may not have pictures of the kids in the hospital.
I originally interpreted @doggone 's comment to mean that we shouldn't be surprised if school buses get blown up in places with conflict.
I see it can also be interpreted as being surprised at how normal the scenario appears. As though being in a war zone implies that school buses shouldn't be headed back from picnics, or that bus drivers shouldn't stop for a drink. That doesn't make much sense to me, but if it's case I apologize and welcome my downvotes.
