i read a while back that equipment managers were stocking up on helmets that were no longer going to be produced for their vets that preferred them, maybe sitting in a storage room somewhere and aging is bad for the foam or something i suppose.

but part of their certification process is testing the helmets and i've seen nothing saying this brand is doing especially poorly. i think they should at least be grandfathered for all the players that have been using them for years. pretty much anyone who is still playing with them at this point has made millions and can decide for themselves whether they want to continue using them.
