Recently I saw a post on there that was blatantly trying to pish that line of making threats. It had something to do with a black guy raping a chick. I don't honestly remember the story. But, the post said things like "it's time to step up Voat" and talked about taking action. Very clearly teetered the line on calls to violence.

I can totally see this kind of stuff causing problems for Voat. These kind of post's are probably shit stirrers trying to get them shutdown, but who knows, they could be real crazy people.

Either way, plenty of the content on Voat has been balancing on the edge of being illegal in the US, and it is bound to catch up with them sooner or later.

So it's not time to step up?

I'm just saying that the post could easily be seen as a call to violence.

Is it time to step up? I don't know. In that situation, I think the fact that the suspect was already in custody means it probably wasn't time to "step up." But I have a minor amount of faith that justice will be served by the courts. Who honestly knows? I don't have all the answers. But my point still stands that a post like that is a great way to get a site shutdown.

I think the context in which we need to step up is drawing more attention to the disproportionate amount of crime that comes from the black community. Society needs to stop ignoring the facts in the name of political correctness. Before we can truly deal with the problem we need everyone to admit what the problem is.

That goes for black Americans too, I'm not going to lump them all in with the idiots committing these crimes. However even the victims, those stuck in neighbors plagued by crime, don't help police when needed, and make excuses for their community.
