It sounds so much like reddit. The group think discouraging any criticism of the site or admin. How are you suppose to make anything better if you are not allowed to talk about its faults?
Its a clear symptom of an echo chamber. Even here. You have voat refugees coming here. They don't get the response they are use to, so they go back to voat. They make a post talking about how stupid Phuks is. They then get the response they wanted and feel better. It sedates them. It comforts them.
Absolutely agree. If you're that tone deaf that you don't even realize you need to post even a simple 'I fucked up, sorry' sticky to the user base in all this time that's passed since the 'days of darkness' I don't think they (Putt) have a clue.
Personally, I think Voat is history and the next (and it will) goes down there will be no cavalry jumping in to fix it. I lurk now and it looks to me that the number of posts being input has dropped considerably. I'd be curious to know how many users like myself have moved on.
Maybe that's how many of the voaters feel, but I don't agree.
With sites like Voat the community is the content. They deserve to be in the loop.
