Funny thing about the Needlestack stuff is that she was one of the people trying to persuade me to stay. Asking questions about why does the canary matters and do we really need a website that's micromanaged.
Im not actually concerned about the canary because of the content I have posted. What I am looking for is the transparency from the admin about the state of Voat. And just a bit more admin interaction would be greatly appreciated. Not micromanagement, just a fucking response and solution to issues at hand.
Judging from the messages I have received from Needle and others, I highly suspect that most of the major voices on Voat have been bought out or taken over by the entity that has taken over Voat. Or they have all drank the koolaid and I'm taking crazy pills.
Spoke with needlestack a couple times. It was her that brought the attempted doxxing to my attention. I deleted my shit right after that.
You may be right about the bought accounts. I am certain that other than me, empress, redouexx, and maybe a few others were not.
Needle I don't think was, but she was originally a protect Voat mod during the she thing and later stepped off. I think she just is holding out to see if it can be like it was.
It isn't the same which is why I left a week before you, and attempted doxxing within the Anon subs. They are fucking relentless with it so I said fuck it take this echo chamber without admin involvement.
It is akin to letting the inmates run the asylum now. No discussion within any thread really. Just people calling each names to inflame because there isn't any consequence.
I get when you are discussing a topic, but just doesn't happen as they are direct attacks all the time and so many 2y accounts with zero history popping up to be dicks.
My theory is that Voat was just a corner to put all the unwanted within Reddit which is why so little upkeep or new features. I get loss of interest or life happens, but many people sunk money into Voat and lots of time.
Admin never trusted anyone else with anything either. Always a tight knit of select people from the beginning and that is something I always noticed.
I begged for admin to allow a community manager to at the very least keep up with subverse transfers, but always an excuse or nothing at all. 2 years ago he said there would be something.
Instead somehow they can see who posts on Anon just like needlestack said they can. They did it to me on a comment. I showed her as well before I deleted my account. So put lied to the user base and now he is banning accounts.
Fuck that place was just a way for them to make money and keep an element off Reddit. I doubt anything with law enforcement has ever happened or will happen and the trolls show that with their shit talk and various emails I have got from people to build them an AR lower.
Saying they will pay me via Bitcoin to keep it under the books. Essentially commiting a felony because trolls. So I forwarded each email to the ATF and spoke with them directly about it. In length to which they are investigating.
Because them offering me good or services in the act to circumvent the law in itself is a felony. Multiple ones matter of fact and since many of them are self proclaimed drug users, or even criminals then it makes it worse they did it.
