LOLS

Remember the scene in jaws when the police chief said, "we're gonna need a bigger boat?"

That's a huge mass of water to boil. You'll need two things

1 - Room for it on the stove (they're huge!). 2. - A burner whose output is 10k+ BTU. It takes quite a bit of energy to effect a 150+ degree temperature increase (assuming you started with tap water).

We have a family kitchen and a semi-commercial kitchen. The big kitchen has a really large commercial range. When the three big burners light, you can almost feel the heat flare from across the room :-)

It's not a pot I'd ever use. My cooking is for 2-8 people. That much stock would feed dozens of people.

My cooking is usually for two people, but I often freeze my soups for later leftovers. This weak-ass cooktop in the condo I'm renting couldn't support the 10g pot. I'm specifically looking for a kitchen with a gas grill since I'm searching for a house to buy now

I'd never even attempt it. The big kitchen has two of those fold out faucets for filling pots, but wrestling 60+ pounds of 200 degree water and ingredients isn't in my job description :-)

Most of my cooking is only for two. I love to cook for my husband. It lets me be certain he's eating healthy. Our cook is wonderful, but susceptible to bribes to sneak in snacks on the No Eat list, like fries and sliders or mystery meat hot dogs.
