I've always wondered if this guy was as 'bulletproof' as I've read, or if it's a dramatized story. In either case, a very fascinating man and story.

It's truly interesting. Just reading about Alexei and early treatments of hemophiliac. No wonder he gained favor by the royal family, he saved their only son.

True. He's almost a mythical character though. That's what has always made me wonder bout his story.
