The Milky Way Galaxy Is Growing Faster Than the Speed of Sound

The title, while accurate, is a bit misleading. Saying 'faster than the speed of sound' makes it sound fast. But it's growing at around 1.4 x the speed of sound, on a galactic scale that is kinda slow. The two spirals will merge to form the "Milkdromeda" mega-galaxy, astronomers say. 'Galactic car crash will result in a super-galaxy' That would have been a better and more accurate title I think. :)
