For instance, click rates show that my sub is overwhelmingly popular with the general Phuks crowd – yet no one actually subscribes! =/

I understand. Obviously, this is due to cancel-culture peer pressure taking its toll. That, and of course also because our fans
especially those who come for their daily hateb0ner… ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
don’t have to subscribe, as via /all/new, they get all the good stuff without any commitment anyway!

I believe it is really a matter of fairness that the subs one enjoys in one’s feed, one also gets to be subscribed to. This could even be an automated process.

Then add a sitewide random sticky to the top of /all/new – to keep things nice’n’agitated.

Nope, I think that you think this a place that wants to be a behemoth like Reddit or Voat when it's really just content being a small dev site full of low drama users. Some people want a yacht, others want a small fishing boat.

So let's keep Phuks gimped, denying it common sense improvements... for fear it might become too popular otherwise?

Self-loathing and low self-esteem do often go together... Though I am starting to worry in your case it may not actually be the self that's the target of it...
